Mimic Exercise

11 Feb

With my camera in hand, I set off to accomplish the objective of replicating a classic black and white photo. I searched the web looking for an inspiring work of photography that I could recreate as my own. Then, an image of a self-proclaimed goofball and genius caught my eye. My imagination and creativity soared as I pondered how to mimic photographer Arthur Sasse’s iconic portrait of Albert Einstein. Using my friend as a model, I positioned his body accordingly and tried to capture a facial expression comparable to the original. The college student echoed the spunk and character of Einstein’s body language by sticking out his tongue. The wit and humor depicted in this contemporary head shot resembles that of Einstein.
